The “Church under the tree” says thank you. To all of you who prayed for the “Church under the tree” last week, they want you to know that God is answering your prayers for them. We asked you to pray for rain, health for their children, and food. When we went to worship with them today, they told us that it had rained four days last week and our meeting was broken up today because of a torrential downpour. (God answers prayer. They need more rain though so please keep praying so they will get enough rain to have a good rice crop or they will go hungry in about six months). We hastily finished the Lord’s Supper, had a prayer, and ran for the car as they ran for shelters.
Another person was baptized there after we left, and there were six baptized at the other place we went this morning. Leaving at 5:15 a.m. again today made for another long day, but we were happy to be tired. Your work with us and your prayers for the “Church under the tree” are making a difference in many lives for now and eternity.
Three of our team left this weekend, leaving only four of us to teach more than fifty who come for personal classes. We will combine some of the groups. Four or five of the young people who have been coming are already Christians. We will ask them to postpone their studies until other teachers arrive. With the opportunities here, we will never have enough workers. Pray that the Lord will send more workers into this great harvest.
Marie-Claire is going to France tomorrow to be with her 85 year old father who is blind, while her mother is hospitalized for some scheduled surgery. She plans to be gone three weeks. We would appreciate your prayers on her behalf.
