We appeal to you to ask your church and Bible study groups to
PRAY FOR BURMA.
Because of the oppressive regime in Burma we have not written about our work there until now. Our Burmese contacts are saying Now is the Time.
For 10 years Partners In Progress has been working in Burma, providing humanitarian work, studying with Bible correspondence course students and sending teachers to follow up.
Currently we are running full page advertisements in a leading student magazine in Yangoon for Bible correspondence course study and have more then 3000 enrolled with the numbers increasing daily.
We are currently organizing a team to go to Burma early next year to personally study with the hundreds of Bible correspondence course students there and believe the current demonstrations will work to soften the governments stand on religious freedom.
Please pray for religious freedom, peace and openness to emerge to allow the millions of truth seekers in Burma to find the Living God.
